Privacy Protection password, also known as Anti-theft PIN, is the password you set when you activated Mobile anti-theft in Settings.

Then how it works?

After anti-theft is set successfully, and you change the sim card, your phone will demand Privacy Protection password, to prevent any unauthorized access to your data. Meanwhile, your emergency contact will receive a message from the new sim card, for you to remote control your phone using the orders in step 3.

The 2 important things using this function:

» Password: Once you set an anti-theft PIN, be sure to keep it in mind, or somewhere you can find in case you forget it.

» Emergency contact: If you forget your anti-theft PIN, emergency number can be used to fetch it back; If your phone gets stolen, emergency number can be used to lock it or wipe all data in it.

Then what if you forget both the PIN and your emergency contact?

Don’t worry, Visit Carlcare Service Center in your area.  Just remember to bring your receipt and warranty card with you if you need us to unlock the phone.
