Facebook continues to add a bit more to the UI every time you turn around, so what do you do to get control over your Facebook page back? Install the F.B. Purity extension! This wonderful extension will help you clear out the cruft, streamline the UI, and bring back a minimalist look that will make your Facebook page a joy to look at once again!
Once you have the extension installed, simply go through the various options to disable the sections and/or features you are tired of looking at. When you are done, click on the Save and Close Button. Keep in mind that you can also export your settings if need be.
F.B. Purity is available for Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari, Opera, Maxthon, and as a Greasemonkey script if you prefer to go that route.
